
A hotel owned by Cristiano Ronaldo in Morocco has caught fire. The fire was quickly brought under control without the need to evacuate tourists. There were also no reports of injuries.
The Pestana CR7 hotel complex in Marrakesh, Morocco, caught fire on Saturday. According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the flames were extinguished by emergency crews immediately mobilized to the scene, while the website Morocco World News added that "it was a small fire."
The response of the hotel staff, as well as the emergency services, was immediate, and they helped quickly and carefully extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the premises.
According to the hotel group, all necessary measures have been taken for the safety of customers and staff, with no need to evacuate the premises and no reports of injured people.
Cristiano Ronaldo's hotel in Marrakesh was used as a shelter for tourists and residents after the earthquake that struck Morocco in September 2023.
It has 168 rooms, two restaurants, a gym, a spa and a swimming pool.
