Elbasan has achieved an important victory with a score of 1-2, away against leaders Egnatia in the match valid for the 33rd week of the Superiore.
Elbasan surprised the home team in the last minutes of the first half by scoring 2 times within a few minutes. Initially it would be Doukouo, who would open the scoring in the 44th minute, and just a minute later Blaise Tsague, would send the score to 0-2 for Elbasan.
At the start of the second half, Egnatia would desperately seek to narrow the gap, but their attempts would remain inconclusive.
In the 78th minute, a serious incident would occur and the match would be interrupted for several minutes, after a fan fell from the stands and was injured. An ambulance had to enter the field and take the fan to the hospital.
Then the match would start again and Egnatia would find a goal in the extra minutes through an 11-meter shot. It was Fernando Medeiros who in the 90+6' minute would score the penalty and narrow the score to 1-2. This would not be enough for the leaders of Egnatia and Elbasan would gain three important points to enter the race for the "Final Four".
With this result, Egnati remains at the top of the table with 58 points and Elbasan is in fifth place with 46 points, 1 less than Partizan who faces Tirana tonight.
