The hearing in the Special Appeal for the former mayor of Pogradec Eduart Kapri and for 5 other former employees of the Municipality is postponed.
Kapri's lawyer asked for time to prepare for the conclusions, for this reason he asked for the hearing to be postponed to another date, a request which was accepted by the judging panel.
The next session was scheduled for July 24 at 11:30 a.m. The first instance acquitted Kapri, against whom two charges were brought, "Violation of the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions" in cooperation and "Abuse of duty" in cooperation.
SPAK accuses the defendants of two episodes, the first is related to a tender for the purchase of wood worth nearly 9 million new lek, while the second charge is that of obstructing the election process in 2019, after they locked three schools that would serve as polling stations.
Gurali Blaceri, former maintenance worker at Dr. Arsimore Pogradec, Safet Blaceri, former maintenance worker at Dr. Arsimore Pogradec, Avdulla Canon, former Deputy Mayor of Pogradec, Enkeleida Kllomollari, former Dr. of the Educational Center in Pogradec and Nexhmi Torren, with former coordinator of Nj. Adm. at the Pogradec Municipality, are accused of violating equality in tenders, as well as abuse of office.
