The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, during the press conference regarding the intervention of the police in the "MEK" camp, rejected the claims that the victim in the Ashraf camp died from the violence exercised by the Albanian authorities.
Çuçi said that the Iranian was not affected by any force and added that his death was caused by natural conditions. The minister said, among other things, that forensic expertise is awaited to scientifically determine the reason for his death. He said that no violence was used during the search and that the police took care not to create incidents.
"The person who died, I guarantee you that the death was not caused by any violence exercised by the police. We are waiting for the forensic report.
Not a single member has been touched by hand in this camp. There are cameras both from the police and from the side of the camp, no members were touched by hand, none!
We will wait for the forensic expertise. He is an old man, 79 years old, don't get me wrong, there are deaths inside the camp that happen regularly, because it is a community that is living and aging there, but we will wait for the forensic expertise. I am convinced because we were careful not to create any incident but to implement the court's decision ", he said.
