PD is divided into several parts, 7 deputies against the National Council: It was not a legitimate meeting, full of bias

The crisis in the Democratic Party seems to be deepening by the hour. Today, the National Council met, but 7 MPs have come out against it, once again confirming the division in some parts of the DP of the stamp.

In a statement to the media, it is said that the efforts to strengthen the Democratic Party will continue and that divisive acts, exclusions, partiality and haste do not help in the revival of the Democratic Party.

Deputies Lefter Gështenja, Ramadan Likaj, Bledion Nallbati, Dashnor Sula, Helidon Bushati, Xelal Mziu and Saimir Korreshi have announced the next move, informing through a statement that they will individually contact each legitimate member of the Council.

Declaration:

We, the deputies, members of the Presidency and members of the National Council of the Democratic Party, have followed with concern the unilateral acts followed by a part of the Party Presidency, which culminated today in an anti-statutory falsehood, considering a non-quorum meeting, as meeting of the National Council of DP.

After we have received copies of the membership of the PD National Council filed and registered in the Office of the Registry of Political Parties near the Court of First Instance in Tirana and the official confirmation of the responsible statutory bodies, we find that the PD National Council currently has 453 members in office from A total of 478 members left the PD National Assembly on July 17, 2022.

With the responsibility to protect the interest of the democrats and the Democratic Party, we find that today there was no legitimate meeting of the National Council of the DP. Considering the result of today's meeting as anti-statutory, in order to avoid another impasse in the DP, to stop the further division of the Democratic Party, as well as to guarantee the strengthening of the Democratic Party, we declare that:

Starting today, we will take the initiative to individually contact and assess the will of each legitimate member of the National Council on the situation in the Democratic Party, and we will continue efforts to strengthen the Democratic Party, convinced that divisive acts, exclusions, partiality and haste, it does not help in the re-establishment of DP.
