For the January 21 file, the leader of the DP, at that time Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, and Lulzim Basha, in the capacity of Minister of Interior, also appeared before SPAK.

We remind you that for the first time, since SPAK took over the file for the state crime of January 21, Sali Berisha appeared on November 19 at the Prosecutor's Office to give an account for the serious event of January 21, 2011, where 4 protesters were killed on the boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
SPAK sent him two summonses on November 3 and 7. After rejecting the first one, SPAK delivered the second one to three addresses (apartment, DP headquarters and Parliament), but again he did not accept any of them. He could not avoid the third one after SPAK handed it over to him when Berisha went there on Monday for the "Partizani" affair.
Initially, Friday was scheduled, but then it was postponed to Wednesday after Berisha claimed that he would be out of the country that day.
Yesterday, Berisha declared that he would appear before the Prosecutor's Office.
Earlier, former Interior Minister Lulzim Basha was also called to give his testimony for "January 21".
Berisha's call comes about a year and a half since SPAK took over the file on the 4 murders of protesters.
