26 years since the Recak massacre, President Begaj: Denouncing this crime

45 Albanian civilians, including children, women and the elderly, were killed on January 15, 1999, by the Serbian army, marking 26 years since the Recak Massacre.

President Bajram Begaj, through a post on social media, stated that the denunciation of this massacre changed the history of Kosovo and the international community's approach to it.

"On January 15, 1999, in the village of Reçak in Kosovo, 45 unarmed Albanian civilians were executed and barbarically massacred by Serbian criminal units. The denunciation of this massacre changed the history of Kosovo and the international community's approach to it. Glory forever to the men and women of Kosovo, who stood for its freedom! Gratitude to the American Ambassador William G. Walker, "Knight of the Order of the Flag"!", Begaj writes on Facebook.
