Will Rama go to Washington? Ilir Kulla reveals the behind-the-scenes!

Prime Minister Edi Rama's absence from the World Economic Forum in Davos, officially justified by a meeting with Ivanka Trump for strategic investments in Vlora, sparked a broad debate on Albania's real position in the international arena.

These rumors also fueled speculation about an imminent visit of the head of government to the White House. However, for security expert Ilir Kulla this is not true. According to him, the invitation for the Peace Board ended with the Davos Summit and there will be no further meetings for such a thing since it has already been established.

Invited to the show "Të Pashoj" on the "Pamflet" YouTube channel, Kulla emphasized that our country has been and continues to remain "very peripheral" in major global developments.

Excerpt from the interview:

-There is talk of undergrounds, maybe conspiracy theories, you'd better tell me, uh, that there could be a visit by Prime Minister Rama directly to the White House in the near future to make this big signing, even though de jure it has already happened for the peace board.

Kulla : No, the Peace Board was founded, it no longer exists. The lists were read, the presentation was made, and the name of Albania was included. Albania simply was not represented there, it is not there.

-Why? Was it missing?

Kulla : Why was it missing, you should ask Mr. Rama. I think that, uh, in the major global developments, Albania has been, is and will continue to remain very peripheral. And the fact that we continue to see ourselves as the center of the world, this has nothing to do with us at all. If...

-Kosovo is also peripheral, but it was part of it.

Kulla : Yes, no, but Kosovo, because of its history of the last 25, 26, 27 years, and also the problems it has with Serbia and others, is much less peripheral than Albania. I think that the Albania file in, in, in the White House, if it ever goes there is a big event, that is. The last time someone was in the White House, uh, on a state, state, state visit, was Fatos Nano as prime minister when the Adriatic Trio was going to be formed with two other prime ministers of North Macedonia and Croatia, because NATO enlargement was going to be done. So it was an event of, let's say, global proportions. And to go to the White House, it really has to be, because of the way America is built, the agenda really has to be so important that, so, if we were to have a war against Iran, and there was one, so this coalition of the countries of the peace board, the Peace Council, would turn into an anti-military anti-Iran coalition with troops and so on and so forth, then maybe we could have had a visit to the White House. Of the president or the prime minister of Albania. When we say visit to the White House, we say state visit, because in the White House there are as many people as you want who have taken pictures like that, yes, a state reception at the White House. Or when we say visit to the White House, if Prime Minister Rama two days ago in, in Jerusalem, in parliament or in the press conference with Netanyahu, with the Prime Minister of Israel, said that Albania, under the initiative, the support of the US and others, will move the embassy from, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. These are the big events. But the event that you enter with X other countries in a... This... Well, there is also an illogicality, I believe.

-Because, was Prime Minister Rama invited by Donald Trump to co-found the Peace Board? How long ago was he invited, then...

Tower : He wasn't invited.

-Why should I... But how?

Kulla : He wasn't invited and he wasn't there.

-How come you weren't invited when the invitation was published?

Kulla : Look, let's not manipulate public opinion. Official propaganda is enough for manipulation. The President of America, yes, the President of America, has taken an initiative, in which there is a board whose names have been entered, and we know that, there is a famous Bulgarian politician who has been very involved in the Middle East, there are some representatives of the Gulf countries, who will put money into this board and others, there is the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, and others, who are involved in the reconstruction and administration, the reconstruction of Gaza and so on and so forth. In the framework of this initiative, it has been thought, so, where each of these for Gaza, including Putin, said the President of Russia while receiving the President of Palestine in his office, in his office last week, each of these will put 1 billion euros into this project to build Palestine.

-If they will be permanent members.

Kulla : No no, this is for Palestine. This is for Gaza. Slow down, let's not confuse things.

-So the payment will be made...

Kulla : For those, for those who will deal with Gaza.

-Okay.

Kulla : Then the board, and we saw this in, in Davos, uh, let's explain to people, in Davos there were two events. One event was the famous Davos that was on Monday, Tuesday, where Alex Soros and many other European politicians and others were. And attached to Davos, uh, there was also the Peace Council event that the president of America organized. So, they are two different events, that seem like they are in the same thing. They are not even in the same hall.
