Gerhard Baka, road traffic specialist invited to the show "Good morning Albanians" Albania spoke about the violations of the traffic code by drivers and their attempts to bribe.
He said that people who enjoy a status in Albania do not try to bribe police officers with money, but they certainly use their status to escape fines after violations they commit on the street.
"It must be said that people who have some kind of immunity or enjoy some kind of status in society do not try to corrupt the policemen, they are more responsible, they know the responsibility they have. They can benefit by virtue of the status they enjoy, but not in forms of corruption.
It has never happened, we know of no case of a well-known person trying to bribe a police officer. They are more responsible, but of course they can try to take advantage of the status they have in society, that is, saying that they are a VIP person, artist, journalist or different status, but until today that we are talking, they have not even tried to corrupt in the form of bribery." - said Baka.
