The control in the Ashraf 3 camp, in Manzë, was carried out yesterday in the framework of the SPAK procedure number 130/2023.

This investigation has been registered for a series of criminal offenses where it is suspected that members of the MEK community sheltered in Albania were involved.

Sources from the Special Prosecutor's Office indicate that about 150 devices, including computer units, laptops and USBs that have been seized, are expected to undergo an examination.

It is expected to learn whether encrypted information or different data has been collected, used, transferred or misused on these devices or through them.

Meanwhile, the US State Department has also reacted to the action in the MEK camp.

DASH supported the action of the Albanian Police in the Iranian Mujahideen camp in Manza, Durrës and said that Albania has the right to investigate any activity within their territory.

"Albanian police assured us that all actions were carried out in accordance with the law. We support Albania's right to investigate any possible activity that is illegal within its territory. The US does not see the MEK as a viable democratic movement representing the Iranian people. The State Department has serious concerns about the MEK organization, including allegations of abuses committed against its members. The US government does not provide any training or support to the MEK, does not contribute funds, and does not maintain essential contacts except for matters related to the relocation of the MEK, which was completed in 2016," states the reaction of a DASH spokesperson. .

Yesterday, by order of SPAK and GJKKO, numerous police forces arrived at the "Ashraf 3" mujahedin camp in Manzë to carry out checks.

Members of the MEK camp revolted at the intervention of the police and clashed with them. The Mujahideen claimed that a person from their community was killed, but the State Police rejected these claims, saying that the person in question had died of a heart attack and that the police force had not used violence against anyone.

Interior Minister Bledi Çuçi and Director General of the State Police Muhamet Rrumbullaku said that the police faced resistance, but the MEK members were not violated. Among other things, Minister Çuçi said that the Mujahideen violated the 2014 agreement when they were accepted in Albania.
