Analyst Skënder Minxhozi says that Sali Berisha's pulpit has been reduced to a bone and that the biggest challenge for the former prime minister is popular indifference.
In an interview for "Newsline" on ABC News, Minxhozi said that Berisha's movement has become aggressive, but there is no support.
According to him, in order to achieve a union of the Democratic Party, the factors and reasons that have led to the division of this political force must be resolved.
"Realistically, the challenge of this whole group of right-wing politicians today in the opposition, they continue to persist in lining up behind Sali Berisha. They don't want to accept the normal rotation, nor the laws of nature, the moment comes for withdrawal, they don't want to accept anything. This is a dead end. Support is small. Berisha's biggest challenge is not with the USA, nor with the government, the real challenge is with popular indifference. Support for this political movement continues to remain in minor, small numbers. It is a movement which has been reduced to a bone when they say, there are few left in number, but it has become aggressive in terms of rhetoric. There remains a reduced movement, in the parliament segment, the doctor's alley.
To achieve a union, you must resolve the factors and reasons for the separation. What are the reasons for the separation? I understand the appeals made by Jorida Tabaku or others, so that we can see clearly, what are the reasons? There are two. The first reason is the US with the "non grata" decision and the second is the quarrel that later arose between Berisha and Basha. If something is not fixed in this trajectory, if these two gentlemen do not sit down and solve the problems, but these two do not understand each other" , he emphasized.
