A statement by Nuredin Dumani, the repentant justice official regarding several criminal events, has brought the reaction of Nasip Naço, the SP MP and former Minister of Justice in 2014, when he represented the SMI in the government.
Dumani said in his statement that he was helped by the son-in-law of the brother of the minister at the time, Nasip Naços, to get out of prison, through a medical examination. "I paid lek for this," Dumani is reported to have stated.
Nuredin Dumani's statement brought the reaction of Nasip Naço, who through a statement stated that "I distance myself from any accusations made public today and invite the justice bodies to conduct an in-depth investigation into this case. If the accusations are proven, the relevant bodies must take legal measures against any person involved in this matter."
He further emphasizes that the role of the Minister of Justice, according to the legislation in force, is limited.
"The Minister does not investigate, does not file charges, does not dismiss cases, and does not issue decisions of guilt or innocence. His duty is only related to granting special permits to convicted persons, based on the law."
During my term as Minister of Justice, I have not approved any special permit for the subject in question.
"I distance myself from any fraud, committed by anyone, individually or in collaboration, to damage my integrity. The public accusations made today do not correspond to the real facts of the exercise of my duties as Minister," Naço said.
