The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has registered two criminal proceedings for violations of the voting process in the framework of the May 11 parliamentary elections.
It is reported that one of the proceedings concerns a case of photographing votes at a polling station in the city of Elbasan, while the second proceeding is related to an event that occurred in the Bradashesh area, where it is suspected that a citizen voted instead of another family member.
Today, prosecutors from the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime as well as officers from the National Bureau of Investigation were seen entering the premises of the Elbasan Prosecution Office.
To date, there is no official information on the reasons for this visit or whether it is related to investigations into violations identified in the electoral process.
Investigations are ongoing and it is expected that the relevant institutions will provide more details.
