An incident was recorded this morning at polling station no. 2321 in the "5 Maj" neighborhood in Elbasan, during the May 11 election process.
A 56-year-old woman was escorted by police after she was caught red-handed photographing her ballot. The member of the commission of polling station no. 2321, citizen IP, reported the case.
“At around 07:45, the commission member of this center, citizen IP, notified the authorities that a voter, citizen MC, 56 years old, had photographed her ballot – an act strictly prohibited by electoral law.
"Immediately after being notified, police services intervened and accompanied the woman to the police station for further procedural actions ," the police announced.
Despite the incident, voting at this center continues normally.
