The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has announced the verdict in the case against former traffic police chief Roven Zeka, declaring him not guilty of the charge of passive corruption, as the commission of the criminal offense was not proven.
Meanwhile, for the other defendants, the court has issued the following decisions:
Edison Tabaku was sentenced to 3 years in prison, which was reduced to 2 years in prison due to the summary trial.
Sokol Navaku (Former Head of Accident Investigation) was also sentenced to 3 years in prison, which was reduced to 2 years on summary judgment, a sentence which was converted into probation.
Erges Vrioni has been sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, which with a summary trial is reduced to 1 year in prison, being converted into probation for a period of 2 years.
Blendi Bela was found guilty of the criminal offense of "failure to report a crime" and was sentenced to 1 year in prison, which was reduced to 8 months on summary judgment, a sentence converted to probation.
