Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço says that in the Lezha region there are 306 families isolated due to blood feuds.
In an interview for "Ora e Fundit", Karamuço said that the murder of the couple in Lezha has also brought the 32-year-old's family into conflict. He further added that it is suspected that the perpetrators have fled to Kosovo.
"There are 306 isolated families. This event was a continuation of an event that occurred in 2016. A decision was made that this person will be killed. No canon foresees the killing of women. The blood feud will also extend to the woman's family. This wound creates other wounds. I don't know if the perpetrators calculated that they would have to kill the wife as well. Nothing justifies the loss of both of their lives, but I'm talking about his wife.
"Murder for blood feud is punishable by life imprisonment. It is believed that the perpetrators have fled to Kosovo," he stressed.
