SPAK has panicked the majority and the government. In addition to wiretapping, prosecutors are using another very effective method in discovering affairs, that of seizing phones.
BKH agents have made flash visits to many ministries, directorates and institutions and many directors and officials have had their mobile phones, computers or other digital devices seized.
In the annual report for the past year, published today by Dumani, details are given on this method of investigation. According to SPAK, a total of 407 mobile phones were seized and messages, photos and other compromising evidence were found there.
During the year 2023, the Expertise Sector received 345 expert decisions for the examination of digital evidence with 623 evidences in total and specifically 407 mobile phones, 76 computers, 19 DVRs and 121 other digital evidences (hard drives, USB, video recorders, tablets, memory cards, CD/DVD, etc.). During the year 2023, the experts of this sector carried out 261 expert reports, where 453 digital evidences were examined in total and specifically 321 mobile phones, 37 computers, 20 DVRs and 75 other digital evidences (such as hard drives, USB, recorders, tablets, memory cards, CD/DVD, etc.) For the year 2023, 5 acts of expertise were carried out more than in 2022, as well as 226 acts more than in 2021 ", the report states.
According to SPAK, for the year 2023, 29 more digital evidences were examined than in 2022, as well as 398 more digital evidences than in 2021.
" Unlike the years 2021-2022, the experts of this sector have also been engaged in several scenes for the seizure of evidence and computer data, as well as in scenes and examinations in support of the prosecutions of the General Jurisdiction. Also for 2023 we have an increase in the number of decisions sent for expertise compared to 2022 and 2021, where for 2023 105 expert decisions and 117 digital proofs were sent for expertise in this sector, more than in 2022, as well as 227 decisions expertise and 350 more digital evidences than in 2021 ", the report states.
Several well-known names who were arrested in recent weeks, including the directors of the Municipality of Tirana, fell in because of their mobile phones.
