Today, the Law on Criminal Amnesty was approved in the Assembly with 110 votes, which benefits 1100 convicts and detainees.
Former prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj said that there should be more transparency on what has been approved. She adds that the public still does not know what was voted.
"Amnesty occurs in all countries of the world, the competent bodies react after conducting a study. The type of people who have been rehabilitated, the dangerousness of the offense has decreased, etc. There are several numbers of citizens who benefit. It has been deemed reasonable to grant amnesty to persons who are ready to re-enter society to be integrated into society.For this to come there must have been a study, we hope it was done that way.
Seen in terms of today's approval, what Poli raised is right. We do not know today which was the full approved version. An allegation has been raised that they do not want to amnesty those who are SPAK officials. We don't know what they approved.
