"Ambition for quick money", the sociologist: Albanian youth aim for a life of luxury and end up in criminal ways

Sociologist Ergys Mërtiri said that young Albanians have big ambitions and small jobs.

While commenting on a report on the happiness index, Mërtiri said that the Albanian youth aim for a life of luxury, quick money and end up in drug houses and criminal streets.

According to him, this makes him ultimately unhappy.

"In Albania we have very big ambitions and small jobs. The youth want to live in luxury like in Noyz's clips, but the opportunity to do so is few and far between and the roads are not fair and acceptable even in legal terms and this makes many young people go to England to work at home grass or entering the path of organized crime. On the other hand, it produces uncertainty and makes them unhappy" , he said for "Open".
