The Trump administration seems to have left everyone dry. Many names in the ranks of the SP and DP were overjoyed when it was announced that the OPDAT and ICITAP experts had left SPAK, KLGJ, KLP, the police and other bodies. The corrupt thought that now the US had left justice and they would do whatever they wanted with it.
But bad news has come. Yesterday it was announced that OPDAT experts have returned to SPAK and have started working where they left off. They are assisting prosecutors in a variety of cases, providing them with help, training, equipment and assistance in drafting regulations and other work issues.
But they have not only returned to SPAK. It seems that their assistance also continues in the ranks of the police. The US Embassy reports that the specialists have provided support to the Security Academy, to train new police officers.
“ Congratulations to the 11th class of crime specialists who successfully completed the Criminal Investigation Course for the State Police! The course supports the ability of Albanian law enforcement forces to disrupt organized crime and drug trafficking activity that harms Americans. These crime specialists learned key crime investigation techniques such as collecting physical evidence, recording testimony, questioning suspects, and briefing prosecutors. The course was developed by experts from the U.S. Department of Justice funded by the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs ,” the embassy wrote.
After Trump signed the executive order to cut off foreign assistance, about 50 US experts left the institutions. But the suspension of work lasted 2 months, as it seems that, after verifications conducted by the State Department, the funds covering their salaries and programs were reallocated.
The very purpose of Trump's order was to block money that was being wasted, but it should be noted that the experts supporting justice are brought directly from the US Department of Justice and are paid by them. / Pamphlet
