The Deputy Minister of the Interior, Andi Mahila, said that members of the MEK organization have been carrying out actions that contradicted the agreement with the Albanian government for 10 years. Also, he added that for this, the Mujahideen camp in Manza had been repeatedly warned.
"Throughout these 10 years, there have been continuous actions by these members of this organization which have come in opposition to the commitments they have made in the acts agreed with the Albanian government. It is agreed that the members of this association do not have the right to carry out political and public actions in our country. It is agreed that they will be transparent about financial matters and their use in our country. These commitments have not been repeatedly implemented by these citizens. There have been previous contacts, we informed them that they are not respecting the commitments they have made and today's case is related to another case where we have a special court decision and the police acted in implementation of this order. Their reaction was not at the expected level," said Mahila.
Also, the deputy minister of the interior emphasized that this morning before the start of the action in the mujahedin camp in Manzë, the police director Muhamet Rrumbullaku met with MEK representatives to inform them about the action.
"Today, the director of the state police, before the action started, started with the meeting he had at 08:00 in the morning with the leaders of the settlement where they are staying. So our communications with them have been continuous. The relationship has not weakened", said Andi Mahila for 'Report Tv'.
