The prosecution has discovered that the quantities of waste that were exported by Kompania Sokolaj shpk to Thailand were transported by the Kurum company from Elbasan to the Port of Durrës.

It is learned that this procedure was carried out to determine the role of institutions and parties in the agreement for this transport.

Based on the agreement between Kurumi and the Sokolaj company, the transport was taken over by Kurumi, which also emerges from the investigative process carried out so far.

The amount of waste was transported from Elbasan towards the port of Durrës and was deposited at the quay managed by the German company EMS. It was then loaded into containers bound for Thailand.

For weeks, the local and foreign authorities have been investigating the cargo of 816 tons sent from the Port of Durrës, suspected of being filled with toxic waste near the KURUM company that manages the metallurgical plant in Elbasan.
