Arrests in MOH, SPAK remembers after a day to show who bribed the General Secretary of Manastirli

The Special Prosecutor's Office was reminded after 24 hours to provide the details of who bribed the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.

SPAK says that the general secretary of the Ministry of Health, Joana Duro, received 330,000 ALL in bribes, i.e. almost 50 percent of the tender for the first Lot in the supervision of the reconstruction of health centers in Tirana and Durrës.

After Duro, Vladimir Topi, the administrator of the company 'Driconos' and the engineer who bribed the official of the ministry to win the tender, was also put in handcuffs.

"Following the announcement of 03.06.2023, we inform you that in the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings no. 10/1 of 2023, the investigators of the National Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the General Directorate of the State Police have executed on 03.06 .2023 and 04.06.2023 the orders of the Special Prosecutor's Office against the citizens of VT and S. Sh., suspected of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", in collaboration, provided for by Article 245 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

After carrying out the investigative actions, it was suspected that the value obtained irregularly by the citizen JD, with the function of General Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (in the amount of ALL 330,000), was given as a bribe by the citizen VT, administrator of the operator economic "Dri..." sh.pk, with the aim of illegally benefiting from the tender developed in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, with the object "Lot 1 "Supervision for the reconstruction of some Health Centers in the districts of Tirana and Durrës".

Also, evidence has been gathered that creates the suspicion that the citizen S. Sh., with the duty of engineer at the economic operator "Dri..." sh.pk, after having received the monetary value of 330,000 (three hundred and thirty thousand) ALL from the apartment of the citizen VT, then sent it to the citizen L. Sh., who was the person who knew and was in contact with the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, JD, the latter caught red-handed with the amount of monetary value obtained in an irregular manner," SPAK announces.
