Not even five months after registering the proceedings for four crimes, SPAK requested the arrest of Evis Berber, director of the Albanian Road Authority, who resigned shortly before ending up in handcuffs.
This evening, journalist Anila Hoxha has given details about this issue. Hoxha stated that he also had a communication with one of Berber's lawyers, who stated that there is no evidence and the investigation is biased.
"The investigation was started 4 months ago by BKH agents, who initially registered investigations for 4 criminal offenses, starting from corruption, money laundering. After the investigations, from blocking the phone and checking the offices, SPAK has concluded and requested three security measures. Yesterday, the measures were approved and then the arrests were made and some phones were seized. The accusation refers to the period from 2019 until recently when he held the position of the head of ARSH. In 2017 a company "Vaal eng 10" with partner Valter Begaj, arrested yesterday, 100% shareholder, sells the quotas to Berber in 2018, with the amount of 100 thousand ALL, 100% of the shares. In October 2018, Berberi christens this company with the name 'DAAM'... Four months later, the company 'DAAM' is sold to the citizen, under investigation, in a free state, Brunilda Buli, for the value of 500 million old lek, provided that the liquidation to be completed within 5 years.
Mrs. Buli then expands the activity with voltaic plants, etc... In the final, in 2021, the company 'DAAM' with administrator is sold to the first person who had sold the company. This is the fictitious sale scheme of the company according to SPAK's suspicions. Consulting services that 'DAAM' offered to the other company that was declared the winner in two separate episodes, while it is suspected that they are the same thing that SPAK suspects was indirectly owned by Berber. I also had a communication with one of Berber's lawyers, who says that there is no evidence and that the investigation is biased", said the journalist in 'Top Story'.
