Journalist Elkier Bushkolaj said that Dritan Rexhepi, who was arrested in Istanbul as the head of the "Kompania Bello" cartel and was wanted internationally for drug trafficking, also had relations with the presidential family of Ecuador.
Rexhepi, who is known as one of the first hired killers in Albania, is suspected of having committed murders in Brazil and Ecuador.
"Dritan Rexhpi is one of those players in the cocaine traffic that Albanian crime has put in the superior category.
