Journalist Klodiana Lala, while commenting on the serious incident at the Court of Appeal today, where Judge Astrit Kalaja was killed in the courtroom, stated that there should have been a chain of resignations starting with the Minister of Interior and the Director General of the State Police.

Lala further added that this event is very serious, as according to her, even in Palermo a judge has never been killed in the courtroom.

"It's been 33 years since the parties clashed in court processes. There have been moments of tension. I was moving when the event happened, I went for the first 3-4 minutes. It's an alarm bell when the justice system is affected, I think there is institutional and political responsibility. Institutional and political raise alarms for security in the courts for the lives of judges and prosecutors. Even if a judge gives a wrong decision, there are other higher courts that review it. It doesn't mean that everyone should be encouraged. The authority of judges in the country has been made, because we have the entire political class that comes out and labels every judge and prosecutor in the republic as they please.

The Supreme Court of Justice, which is reacting today to the murder of a judge in the courtroom, some time ago was gritting its teeth and not reacting to the lynching and accusations that the prime minister, the former prime minister, the former president, made against the people of justice. It is too late now that the damage has been done. I don't know how the Albanian politicians have the morals to come out and react to his murder. I don't know how the Minister of the Interior has the morals to come out and say that there is no political responsibility. Even in Palermo, the judge was not killed in the courtroom, but in the street. The impact of the justice system, even if the judge is involved in affairs, to be punished for his affairs, as long as he is in the temple of justice, must be respected for that. The rest are the political owls who speak after the damage has been done. The next day they will speak with the same language as long as their interests are affected. The language of politics has encouraged people of crime to direct threats, accusations and other things in turn. "The police did not do their duty to stop. Today there should have been a chain of resignations, from the Minister of Interior, to the Director General of the Police, the most serious crime occurred, just 500 meters from Ilir Proda's office ," Lala said on the "Log" show on "News 24".
