Lawyer Edmond Petraj spoke about his professional relationship with Judge Astrit Kalaja and about the serious incident that occurred yesterday at the Court of Appeals.
Petraj said that he had had many court cases with Judge Kalaja and that, according to him, he had not made a mistake in any court case.
Petraj linked the main problem regarding this case to the administration, emphasizing that:
"It is the administration that, instead of solving the problems itself, delegates them to the police and the court, just to avoid the burden and pressure that may be on the way. The administration is the one that has the main problem," Petraj told Euronews Albania.
He also expressed concern that if the administration's problems are not seriously addressed, there may be other victims, whether they are employees of public institutions or parties involved in legal cases.
Petraj considered this case unprecedented and emphasized that no one has the right to raise a hand against anyone, regardless of the circumstances.
