The Appeals Prosecution of General Jurisdiction has reacted regarding the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja, an event that occurred yesterday at the Court of Appeals.
"Shocked by the criminal event that brought about the loss of the life of Judge Astrit Kalaja, we express and convey our most sincere condolences to his family, relatives and colleagues.
The Prosecutors' Corps strongly condemns this criminal act against the honorable Judge Astrit Kalaja, a respected figure in the justice system and a tireless professional in the service of the law and citizens, and at the same time condemns any act of violence that violates the figure of the magistrate, because the attack on him is a direct attack on the rule of law.
"This event should be an alarm bell for the consequences of using hate speech, denigrating the figure of the magistrate and the pronounced lack of respect for judicial activity," the Appeals Prosecution's response states.
