Journalist Ervis Iljazaj said that Gazment Bardhi and Agron Gjekmarkaj were not elected by votes as vice presidents of "Rithemelim", but were elected by Sali Berisha.
According to him, this is a political agreement of both parties, since both Bardhi and Gjekmarkaj can benefit from more votes on Berisha's side.
"I believe that if it were to be put to the vote, it would be difficult for Mr. Gjekmarkaj and Mr. Bardhi to be elected vice-presidents of Reestablishment. I'm sure they wouldn't be resolved.
I see this as a political agreement. Mr. Berisha has used the public prominence of these two MPs for his political battle and these MPs are using Mr. Berisha's popularity and Mr. Berisha's votes for their political career.
In this sense it is an agreement for the benefit of both parties. It is clear that only Sali Berisha has the vote there, no one else. They wasted two years of that party, I don't understand the reason why they split up and joined again. The only reason is that there is a majority there, there is no unity on values. Where there is a majority, there are more opportunities for a political career", said Iljazaj in Euronews Albania.
