A small business with activity in Tirana announced that it has decided, after several months of monitoring, to finally close the activity accounts at Raiffeisen Bank.
This decision, according to the business in question, comes as a result of the queues it constantly finds at service counters, high commissions and fees, and especially the embezzlement of amounts by the bank in a way it considers unfair.
Representatives of the entity in question said that in recent months, their accounts at Raiffeisen Bank have become inactive in Lek and Euro, without any notification.
But despite making the accounts inactive, where the business cannot even use payments or work processes that are ongoing, Raiffeisen bank continues to withdraw money from the account in the form of fees and commissions.
The business announced that after becoming aware of the negative situation in Lek, it entered through the online platform to transfer money to that account, in order to create a positive situation so that it would not result in a negative situation.
The system has notified that you cannot transfer money to that account as it is inactive.
Aware of this fact, the business representative says that he called the service number of Raiffeisen Bank and asked for information about the situation.
The employee's arrogant answer, in the call made today, March 19, 2024, at 2:17 p.m., was that the accounts have become inactive because they have not been used for 6 months.
The business representative explained that the accounts are used by him depending on the clients and the banks where the client's payments are made and asked why the commission was kept consuming the balance of money and even putting it in the red, while the account became inactive .
The employee's answer was that the business representative must appear in the branch and that the commissions are kept by the bank even though the account is inactive!
The representative of the business in question sent the picture of the system, where it is evident that the last deduction from his account in Lek was made on February 29, 2024 in the amount of 350 Lek as account commission.
He informed the representative of the bank about this fact, while she asked him to appear at the branch.
The business representative said that he has decided to appear in order to close the accounts at Raiffeisen Bank by transferring his activity to other banks because of this very negative and profitable experience.
The whistleblower emphasizes that he has not had such experience with any of the second level banks in the country, even though he has a business account with them and performs transactions due to his 20 years of work./ Lajmifundit.al
