Blinken in Tirana, the analyst tells the reasons for the meeting with Duman:

Analyst Aleksandër Çipa commented on the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to our country.

In an interview for "News 24", he said that the United States is interested in the fight against corruption and the restoration of balance in politics in Albania.

Čipa adds that the visit of the high-ranking American official increases the partnership between the two countries and has linked it to the geopolitical situation and tensions in the region.

"The visit increases the partnership between the two countries. Second, it completes the calendar of senior visits between DASH and Albania, thirdly, it has an impact on the regional and international situation, it is an American presence which, in the conditions of tension in the Balkans, is a message that is sent to the Balkan countries The visit is also related to the geopolitical situation, the clash between the West and Russia and Russia's tensions in the Balkans ," he said.

Why was Tirana chosen to release messages affecting the region?

Chipa: We are a country that in two decades has promoted peace and not incited tension. The US plays this card. In the conditions of a geopolitical and military tension, the possibilities of having a contribution of a context in function of the NATO that invests it are not excluded. It is not for nothing that the agenda includes meetings with the heads of high institutions and the projected elite, a meeting that is empowering in its message.

We are dealing with issues such as security, the preparation of the partnership within NATO, it is no coincidence that the DASH declaration underlines the bilateral contributions.

Thirdly, there are two potential elements in the American interest, the fight against corruption, so there is also a visit with the head of SPAK Altin Dumani and the other aspect has to do with the fact that it is interested in democracy in Albania, the restoration of balances.

Justice reform is monitored by Americans. Routine monitoring meetings?

Chipa: The US does not monitor but is involved in the role of monitor, direct intervention. Rama has also accepted that the US is a co-participant in this mission.
