Analyst Skënder Minxhozi spoke about political developments in the country, commenting on the statements of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, as well as the latter's relations with internationals.
He said that Berisha has a scenario in his mind that resembles the US, copied by American President Trump. He also stated that the leader of the DP continues to have a problematic relationship with internationals.
" Berisha has said many things these months that are copied from the American president. You know that Trump had over 90 accusations during the campaign and there was a chance that he would be severely punished if he had not won the presidency. On the contrary, the accusations were dropped on him, and other people, especially for the January 6th event on Capitol Hill, Trump pardoned them and did his best to leave their cells. I have the impression that in his mind Berisha has a scenario that resembles the US. The court must accept criminal innocence. While the votes he receives as a political representative show something else, this does not cancel the responsibilities that you may have above the law. The public is the one who listens to everything and has tried over the years. He has known how to set the grade with votes or with different feelings that he has transmitted.
He has been able to rate the political elite very wisely. The political war he is waging regarding the SPAK investigations, the opposition today counts more wishes or compliments the prosecutors for investigations when it comes to the government. But when it comes to them, or three leaders of today's opposition who are either in prison or under investigation, the reactions are different. I think that when you insult your opponent, you have to look in the mirror and see if you have the same problems as your opponent and in this sense there is very little to talk about. Regarding foreign policy, I would say that especially at this point, relations with internationals or even further, it is a terrain where Rama feels very good", said Minxhozi, among other things, in an interview on "Tirana Live" on ABC News.
