"Criminals!", Osman Stafa: There are no medicines in the Oncology

Journalist Osman Stafa delivered his speech at the 35th nationwide protest against Edi Rama's government, where he emphasized the state of the healthcare system.

From the podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office, he spoke about the lack of medicines in Oncology and the difficulties that, according to him, citizens face in receiving services in public hospitals.

The journalist focused on the conditions in some of the hospital structures, raising accusations about the way public funds were used.

"I will talk as long as I can about healthcare. The intensive care unit only has 30 beds, you have to wait for someone to die to get service. In Neurology, you die if you have a blow to the head, because the equipment doesn't work and you have to have 35 thousand euros to go to a private hospital. There are no medicines in Oncology. Do these people who leave our mothers, sisters and fathers without medicines have a soul? They waste their money on the Garden of Eden, Belinda's 'Tigers', incinerators and satellites. They are criminals," he said.

Earlier, Stafa praised the continuation of the protest and also referred to protester Altin Hila, who is in prison.

"They don't want to listen or see, they just want to steal and profit off our backs, with our taxes. But we won't let them anymore. 35 days have passed and such a protest, such a stand and such resistance has never been seen in Albania."

"An arrested protester, Altin Hila, the father of a disabled child, participated in 33 protests. Today, the mother of that child and Altin Hila's wife with the sick child are at the protest. In Albania, justice cannot fail to prevail," the journalist said.
