An immigrant from the United States spoke at the 35th nationwide protest against the government, declaring that he had returned to Albania after three decades to join the citizens gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
In his speech, he criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama and said that the protesters aim for political change in the country.
"I'm coming after 30 years from the US to join the protest, the most peaceful protest in 35 years in Albania. We will take this regime to the trash can. Our ancestors fought and gave their lives for this land," said the immigrant.
The immigrant further accused the prime minister of treating the country as personal property and reiterated his call for change.
"This idiot is dividing Albania like a piece of baklava. Let him give it to one another. Edi Rama is a scumbag. We will throw him to the ground and create a new Albania," he said.
