Snow covers Korca, hundreds of families remain without electricity

Snowfalls during yesterday evening and the early hours of this morning have fallen in almost the entire territory of the Korça district at altitudes above 900 m.

In the surroundings of Korça, Pogradec, Devolli and Erseka, snow has fallen with low to medium intensity. In Darda, the thickness is 20 cm, while in other areas 15 cm.

All road axes are passable without problems, but caution is recommended to drivers by using winter tires and chains.

There are currently 384 families without electricity due to last night's storm, but OSHEE's work groups have been on the ground since the early hours of the morning to restore power.

Currently, there is an interruption of rainfall in Korça District, while temperatures are below 0 degrees in some areas. During the night, temperatures in the Darda area went up to -5 degrees.
