Lawyer Dorian Matlija has commented on today's attack on lawyer Sokol Mêngjësi.
Matlija stated that the aim of the attack was not simply to beat a person, but the aim was to take his life.
Matlija also points out that it was the Police themselves who filed a charge of attempted murder, which means they have enough information.
"We know very little so far, of course if the police have filed a charge of attempted murder, it means they have enough information to support this charge. So he understood that the aim was not simply to beat a person, but the aim was to take his life", said Matlija for Syri TV.
Also, lawyer Matlija said that the possibility of a crime that required a lot of courage to be committed in the middle of Tirana is not excluded.
"This is important from what is communicated by the Police. Then, the other details of how structured these people were, this is something that will belong to you in the ongoing investigations, it is still early for this part, but nevertheless the possibility is not excluded, that why not, because we are dealing with a crime that it took a lot of courage to do it, in the middle of Tirana at a busy time, without covering their faces" , said Matlija.
