The Fier Prosecutor's Office has criminally prosecuted Agron Kapllanaj's nephews for physical violence against BKH agents and Operational Forces.
Two days ago, a special group of police and BKH officers were physically attacked near Kapllanaj's business in Fier, which caused a huge stir.
The police have arrested Ledjan and Klaudio Kapllanaj , nephews of Agron Kapllanaj, as well as citizen Gerald Kollçaku . Kapllanaj himself, the former mayor of Mallakastra, claims that agents have flown a drone over his business and conducted monitoring, without introducing themselves as officers.
But the Prosecutor's Office in its response has provided more details. It states that the agents, as soon as they noticed that they were being filmed by some individuals, left, as they were on a special mission. They were then followed by 3 cars and the people in them physically assaulted them. The Prosecutor's Office announces that it has registered criminal proceedings for the 3 arrested.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has registered criminal proceedings no. 509, dated 16.04.2025, for the criminal offense of "Assaults due to duty", committed in collaboration, provided for by articles 237/3 and 25 of the Criminal Code, based on a notification from the judicial police services about an event that occurred at the place called "Park Roundabout", Fier.
Immediately after the notification, the judicial police under the direction of the Fier Prosecutor's Office carried out the first investigative actions, from which it was documented that an investigator of the National Bureau of Investigation and officers of the Special Operational Force of the State Police were carrying out investigative actions within the framework of an investigation by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on the Fier-Patos road axis, near the village of Portëz e Madhe, Fier.
While they were carrying out their actions, they were filmed by citizen OI, which forced them to leave the place where they were positioned. About 30 minutes later, while they were standing in their vehicle in another place, on the side of the public road near the place called "Park's Roundabout", in the city of Fier, three vehicles approached them, from which several people got out, and they exercised physical violence against the police officers, despite the latter's introduction.
Following the initial investigative actions, the Prosecution has filed a request with the court for the legal validation of the arrest in flagrante delicto and the imposition of a personal security measure against citizens KK, LK and GK.
