UNIFI categorically denies the false and defamatory accusations circulating about our previous activities in Albania.

These allegations are baseless, implying serious corruption, bribery and exploitation of personal relationships for illegal gain.

The insinuation that UNIFI or its representatives are violating regulations or undeserving of business partnerships are completely false and constitute gross defamation, damaging the integrity of UNIFI, my personality and professional reputation. To be as clear as possible, we clarify that:

UNIFI Interconnection Business in Albania:

UNIFI operates as an international carrier licensed by the USA FCC 214, connecting with over 800 global operators, including major telecom providers such as Vodafone OPCO globally (26 of them), former AMC Albania, OTE Globe (the former company of its mother), former AlbTelecom and other operators in Albania. All our operations are compliant with international ITU standards.

UNIFI categorically denies any claims of political influence in our activities.

UNIFI BIN and BIX Albanian Optical Fiber Project:

UNIFI has long been committed to positioning Albania as a center of digital infrastructure for the Balkans. We currently own the submarine cable IG-1 that connects Italy and Greece, and that extends to the South of Albania.

We recognized the potential of Albania in the center of the digital Balkans in the future request of Ai

revolution at the start, investing $3.2 million in project studies, including environmental impact assessments, marine surveys, vendor negotiations and financial planning to support investments in such critical infrastructure.

UNIFI has always opposed monopolies and remains committed to democratizing internet connectivity and access. Due to unfair and unprecedented fines, as a result of the extortionate actions of former Socialist Party appointee Ilir Zela, we were forced to withdraw from this critical digital transit infrastructure project for Albania and what we have been pursuing ever since. are legal actions.

Unfortunately, Albania continues to miss opportunities for democratized connections and opportunities for a revolution like AI.

UNIFI's relations with JPM and GSIS:

Our long-standing relationship with JPM is based on their support in providing global market data research, analytics and reporting, including Balkan market size and demand as well as capacity.

GSIS has served as UNIFI's trusted consultant on cyber security and cyber threats.

Our relationships with GSIS entities remain active in the various world regions where UNIFI operates.

Personal relations with the Meta family:

While Monika and Ema Çoku are distant relatives, and like any family with which we have close relationships, these personal relationships have never influenced any of my business or decisions. Nor have I asked for favors or support in business matters. My interactions with Ilir Meta have been limited. Although I respect his experience and commitment to Albania, our discussions have never included business, as my primary focus is on infrastructure and digital technology, not politics.

Regarding SPAK:

We have never been contacted by SPAK about any issue. As an American company and an American citizen, my obligations are to my country, and I am fully committed to fairness, equity and upholding the highest legal standards wherever we operate. Since the first day, all our activities in Albania have been developed, communicated in a transparent and regular manner at the US Embassy in Tirana.

UNIFI remains unwavering in its commitment to transparency, fair competition, respect for the law and the advancement of Albania's relations with American companies as well as the establishment of Albania's digital infrastructure in line with the US clean technology initiative and policies and North Atlantic Standards rates.

UNIFI reserves the right to pursue legal action for defamation in US courts.
