SPAK has seized and confiscated around 300 million euros in assets of former senior officials such as PL president Ilir Meta, former fugitive deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj, former Minister of Environment Lefter Koka, and the imprisoned mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
Taking stock of SPAK's work, journalist Klodiana Lala said that for every proceeding, the Special Prosecution Office has also initiated property investigations for these individuals.
"300 million euros seized and confiscated from senior officials, Meta, Beqaj, Koka, Ahmetaj, members of criminal groups and their leaders. In addition to the proceedings, a property investigation has also been launched ," Lala told 'News24'.
