Today marks 13 years since the death of 4 protesters on January 21, who were killed on Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard.
As part of this day, the annual ceremony was held today at the Prime Minister's Office.
The first to speak at the ceremony was the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, who said that this incident has not yet been clarified by justice.
He adds that like the family members, the Socialist Party has stopped demanding justice for the victims of that protest.
"Neither you as family members nor we as a political force have stopped seeking justice for the victims of that protest. We did not expect justice from that system. We, as the opposition at the time, promised new justice for January 21. Rama's contract in 2013 was the re-establishment of justice as an independent stone. We promised and we did it, with the help of our partners. But are the results of this new justice at the new level that the public expects? The fact that the new justice is in the air shows that there are still magistrates who work with procedure and are afraid to face the investigation of this file. The families of these victims cannot remain hostage to this justice, which is expected to put a golden cap on it. Several files are waiting in the drawers. If necessary, we will proceed with criminal proceedings. Justice cannot be a matter of justice by magistrates" , he said.
