The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has reiterated previous statements regarding the involvement of State Police employees in criminal activities.
During the Laws Committee meeting, Mundësia Party MP Erald Kapri reminded Dumani of a statement he made a year ago, where he spoke about police ties to criminal groups. Kapri asked if his stance remains the same today.
In response, Dumani said that this year's investigations have shown the same situation, confirming that persons involved in the State Police have assisted criminal groups, mainly in matters related to drug trafficking.
" This year's investigations also show that elements of the State Police have also been part of or served criminal groups for drug trafficking or other crimes. When I declared it, I based it on the findings and data from the investigations ," said Dumani.
However, he emphasized that within the ranks of the State Police there are also employees with integrity, with whom SPAK regularly cooperates in its investigations.
