Altin Dumani has called the protest for Erion Veliaj in front of the SPAK building an ugly spectacle.
The head of SPAK said that he considered Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement as political rhetoric.
" It was an ugly spectacle, I was there that day, an ugly event. It had never happened before, it was experienced by prosecutors. Institutionally, we notified the responsible institutions, who had not taken the necessary measures. I bring my experience, when we had difficulty passing through, with the danger of crowds of people to pass through and you saw it yourself that day, I had a family emergency, I was forced to make that move because I could delay it for two hours, but I was worried that I also had a group of companions and it could be in danger, but they acted professionally. This event should never happen again.
I said it once again, regarding the second question, it is not the name that matters, but the evidence. As long as there is evidence, the name of the person no longer matters. I considered the Prime Minister's statement as political rhetoric, I am not interested in statements but in evidence. And through evidence, successful cases are built.
The State Police has very good boys and girls for the job, with whom we cooperate. For the cases we have had, we have acted and we have hit the criminal groups. We have prepared a relevant material on how we consider these changes to the Criminal Code. We have completed the general part, we are working on the special part, we are still in the process, to evaluate the issues within our competence. We will give our opinions later, we cannot say anything at the moment. We will present our objections if we have any ", said Dumani.
