The Special Prosecutor's Office has charged former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj for the "Bread" file, but in the meantime it seems to have overlooked the very important role of Mayor Erion Veliaj in the alienation of the property of the former Myderizi owners.
According to SPAK, Ahmetaj is accused of "abuse of duty", after conducting an auction for the sale of over 45 percent of the state shares of the public company "Buka" in favor of businessman Lirim Fezollari, in a procedure that was later declared illegal. from the court.
However, the data of this file prove that the interests of the legal owners, more than the illegal auction, were violated by the decision of the mayor Veliaj, who approved a construction permit on their land, while the case was in the judicial process.
According to the court decisions consulted by 'SYRI TV', it turns out that, in 2018, the people known as the owners of the land, became aware that the Municipality of Tirana had approved the detailed local plan, which violated their rights, to recognized by court decision. The company 'Tobacco Holding Group' sh.pk, claiming the ownership of the land after the purchase of the properties of 'Buka' sha, following the auction process, has turned to the Municipality of Tirana to obtain a construction development permit.

For this reason, the owners of the land have addressed a request to the Municipality of Tirana, asking the latter not to approve the construction permit requested by the private company. The Municipality of Tirana has rejected the request of the owners, under the argument that Hipoteka e Tirana has confirmed that the land is owned by the private company. The owners turn to the Tirana Administrative Court, where they request the prohibition of Veliaj to approve the construction permit.
This court dismissed the plaintiffs' request on June 4, 2018. They appealed to the Court of Administrative Appeals. But, while the decision of the first instance was not final and the decision of the Court of Appeal was awaited, the mayor Erion Veliaj, in August 2018, approved the construction permit for the complex in favor of Fezollari's company.
In these conditions, the Court of Administrative Appeals, in May 2021, was forced to suspend the trial, as the owners' lawsuit had remained without object, because everything had already been turned into fact carried out by the Municipality of Tirana, which means that the permit had been approved and work had begun. / Eye TV
