
The General Assembly of Prosecutors elected today one of the 3 new members of the High Council of Prosecutors.
It is known that the first elected member is Moisi Duda, who received 122 votes against his rival Aferdita Ndoi with 106 votes. Meanwhile, it is reported that 6 votes were invalid.
The counting process continues for the election of two more members.
We remind you that the mandate of Bujar Sheshi from Apeli, Esmeralda Keshi, First Degree, Eloida Goxhi, First Degree has ended.
The candidates for the first degree are: Edina Kurti, Durrës; Edlira Bako, Elbasan; Elsa Miha, Tirana; Olger Minaj, Korça; Vate Staka, Shkodër.
Who is Moisi Duda?
Moisi Duda graduated as a lawyer at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law. His career as a prosecutor started in August 1990, as an investigator at the Lushnje District Investigation, then as a prosecutor at the Kuçovo First Instance Prosecutor's Office (1994-1998); Prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance Berat, (1998); Prosecutor at the Gramsh First Instance Prosecution, (1989-1999); Prosecutor at the Durrës First Instance Prosecution, (2000) as well as Prosecutor at the Durrës Appeal Prosecution (2000-2021).
Duda has also given lectures on subjects such as; Public Law, Constitutional Law, History of Institutions, Economic Knowledge, Foreign Language (English), Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Code, Criminology, Commercial Law, etc., as well as received various trainings on the topic " The fight against organized crime", developed in Italy and various courses organized by the School of Magistrates in Tirana. From February 2021, he is a member of the High Prosecution Council.
