Zambak Gjoni and Arnold Rrokaj, who are suspected of being part of a criminal group that hacked the computers of SPAK prosecutors, will remain in custody. This is after the High Court rejected the appeal of the two suspects who have been in custody for several months.

The two former prison officials and the IMT are under the measure of arrest with imprisonment imposed by two levels of the GJKKO, while SPAK continues its investigations to discover other persons suspected of having participated in the attempt to hack secret data from SPAK files.

The cyberattack occurred on March 12.

In an official response a few days after the cyberattack, SPAK explained that their arrest was made within 24 hours of the intervention for hacking the prosecutors' emails, and that they seized the equipment used to carry out the intervention as well as the downloaded files.

Both of these individuals have distributed the documents they have managed to obtain to other individuals, who are suspected to be two journalists, the former head of prisons, Agim Ismaili, and Dritan Palnikaj, currently Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture.
