"I did it out of curiosity," Arnold Rrokaj said of the SPAK hack, admitting that he had managed to hack the emails of three prosecutors, copying investigative communications from there for three cases.
Meanwhile, it is clear to the investigation group that the suspect, who previously worked as an employee at IMT, further passed the information on to Zambak Gjoni, also a lawyer by profession and a former prison official, reports Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha.
But the investigation team is convinced that the young man did not tell the truth. The attack, as SPAK officially announced, was reported on March 12, 2025, but within 48 hours the two accomplices were identified and placed in prison. The Special Court, at the request of SPAK, immediately ordered a 'ban on the publication of the file', while investigations are still ongoing to unravel the entire scenario.
The case is being investigated as a criminal group. SPAK has officially announced that after an administrative investigation it was determined that the hackers did not manage to enter the system.
Meanwhile, internal investigative analyses continue to conclude what the emails of the three prosecutors, who are suspected of having easy email passwords, contained.
SPAK announced to the public that an attempt had been made to break the security codes on the computer of the Special Chief Prosecutor, Altin Dumani, but without success.
The case of this attack is being investigated by prosecutor Bledar Maksuti, who, during the measures taken against the two suspects, has asked the court to issue an order that would mean holding anyone who publishes data from the dossier accountable.
