While commenting on the arrest of Erion Veliaj, lawyer Sokol Hazizaj linked Prime Minister Rama's nervousness in the speech he gave to Tirana municipality employees on Thursday in "Skënderbej" Square, to the recent actions taken by the Special Structure, SPAK.
According to Hazizaj, when the two major political parties approved the justice reform in 2016, the SP and Rama did not realize that it would be the first in the SPAK activity filter.
" Rama is in a desperate position due to the recent action taken by SPAK against Mayor Veliaj. It doesn't matter if he is right or not, what leads him to despair is the fact that he has stated that SPAK was created by him and the SP. Now SPAK is acting against Rama and his colleagues, the most important in this case is Mayor Veliaj. Whether he is right or not with the arrest of Veliaj, this is a matter of investigation," he said in "Log with Endri Xhafon ".
Asked whether he sold Veliaj or not, Sokol Hazizaj said: " Now he has no power to defend either the lali or himself... He is doing politics, he is not defending him. The rally, the exit are not legal defenses. You have heard the prime minister say that this thing he is accused of, by those I am talking about, is not legal. Even those who teach it are wrong. You cannot say that the arrest is done without a trial. A person at the head of the institutions does not say that. Those who are in detention have left him alone. Or legal means of the people with whom he has collaborated ."
