A painful news has hit the medical community and the many families who have crossed the threshold of Pediatrics at the QSUT this Thursday. Pediatrician Bashkim Nezaj has passed away suddenly, while on duty. The cause of death was a heart attack that did not leave him time for intervention.
In an official announcement, the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center expressed its sorrow for the untimely passing of the doctor, who served for more than 20 years with rare dedication and humanity.
"A dedicated professional, a calm and loving man, a doctor who dedicated his life and heart to serving children... Your contribution will never be forgotten," QSUT writes in its message.
The death of Dr. Bashkim Nezaj has left a deep void not only among colleagues, but also among parents and patients who recognized him as a symbol of care and dedication. Another heavy loss for Albanian healthcare, which today honors the figure of a doctor who served with dignity until the last moment.
