The former foreign minister, Ditmir Bushati, speaking about the situation in which the world is involved with conflicts that are breaking out all over, said that the international order that we embraced after the fall of communism has received very strong blows.
Invited to the show 'Now' in 'Euronews Albania', the recent conflict between Israel and Iran is an alarm bell about where the world order is going.
" Since 2015 as a result of the war in Syria, there is a very big debate in Europe regarding the waves of refugees. More and more, we are not accepting otherwise. More and more we are talking about sea ambulances for refugee camps and not about their integration. More and more we have a clash between East and West within Europe, about how we treat others who are different. We have an increase in both anti-Semitism in Europe and Islamophobia, which are sources of food for extreme right and left parties. Let's not forget that this is an election year in the USA, in the EU and in a good part of the countries. As much as we are being turned into a shirt for living in a war or a conflict situation, it is clear that the international order that we embraced after the fall of communism has received very strong blows. We are in a situation where the old is no longer what it was, while there is a vacuum situation that is still not being filled and formatted properly ," said Bushati.
