Analyst Baton Haxhiu said that Greece is not leaving space to protect Fredi Beleri as a citizen of Albania. While discussing the candidacy of the elected mayor of Himara for the MEP from the party of Prime Minister Mitsotakis, Haxhiu said that he would defend the right for Fredi Beleri to be free.
Haxhiu drew a parallel between Mrs. Salis, arrested by Viktor Orban, and Fredi Beleri, who was arrested in Albania.
"For Ms. Salis, some parties in Italy wanted to nominate her for MEP, but in the end this step was not formalized. While in the case of Beler, the decision was made to run for him. So we have the Italian and the Greek model. Italy is one of the most powerful countries in the EU, it has a European model and it behaved according to this model", said Haxhiu for "SyriTV".
According to him, Greece is a brutally nationalist country and so they made such an election, running for Beleri.
